Lasing's Got Talent
Lasing, a family friend who arrived from
Ilocos Sur, stayed here at home. I don’t know how long she will stay here. She has
nothing to do this early morning and I found her kind of bored. I saw her
looking at my Mama while my Mama is massaging my feet. My feet are always
feeling hard and numb every morning, so Mama always massages my feet every
morning.
Earlier, Lasing went near me and Mama, and
she was looking at what we’re doing. So, when Mama stood and was about to do
some household chores, Lasing sat down beside me and massaged my feet.
At first,
she was hesitant to give me a hard feet massage because she was afraid to hurt
me. But I told her that it was just fine and its relaxing for me. Eventually,
she does massages and rotations on my feet and I was impressed because I felt
so much relief and she did this for almost two hours. She then gave me a good
massage in the afternoon and at night before I sleep.
That was amazing, Lasing! Thank you for a
good massage!

Welcome Back to An Uncle
Early morning, Lasing arrived from Ilocos
Sur. We didn’t expect her to come because we don’t have any communications with
her because she doesn’t have any phone on their area. If ever that there has a
phone on their area, we may not be able to communicate clearly with her because
she cannot hera us clearly.
But yesterday, we only expect one person to
arrive and that was my Tito Dadong which will arrive from Saudi Arabia. Actually
we thought that he would arrive last Sunday but that was just wrong news.
Tito Dadong was expected to arrive by the
evening. We are not all ready for his early arrival because we expect him to
arrive by night. He just call my Tita Irene that he will suddenly arrive by 2:00
p.m. my Tita Irene never expect his early arrival. She doesn’t prepare or have
food for Tito Dadong’s lunch. So, she went to food stalls immediately to buy
available lunch for Tito Dadong.
Tito Dadong was very excited when he
arrived. He said “Hi!” to all the persons that he could see in the street. He’s
even get excited to see his family and he’s even excited to see my Mama and me
while I was lying down here on the set.
After that he greeted us, he already went
to their house to have lunch and to relax due to long hours of trip from Saudi
Arabia up to the Philippines.
Tito Dadong works in a construction firm or
area in Saudi Arabia. He was working there for almost 10 years and he can only
have a vacation every after 2 years of working in Saudi Arabia. When he have
his free vacation, he can only stay here for about 2 months and he will go to
Saudi Arabia again to work.
By night, our family members unite to have
dinner together to celebrate Tito Dadong’s arrival. For dinner, we have KFC
spicy chicken, crabs on coconut milk and grilled pork chop which was prepared
by my cousin. He and my cousins had a drinking spree after we ate dinner. They either
have a long chat together and more about Tito Dadong’s jobs on Saudi Arabia. But
they only drink and chat very limited because my cousins have schools and work
for tomorrow.
Welcome back home Tito Dadong! Have a nice
stay from all of us here and hope that you will stay with us and your family
happily.
Nice to See You Again
Yesterday, I woke up by 6:00 a.m. because
my back is aching. I wake up my Mama immediately because I was really in pain. She
massaged my back, and then I suddenly felt relief until I decided to lie down
again. But when I lie down, I heard a voice near the gate which I recognized
easily. I called Mama and told her that I heard Lasing calling near the gate. Then,
Mama let her in into the house.
Lasing is a family friend to us. She’s
actually the aunt of my cousin to her father’s side. She was with cousin’s
family for many years and she even became my cousin’s yaya. She only went to
Ilocos Sur, a province in the northern region of the Philippines, because my
cousin and her parents migrated to Canada.
Since then, Lasing visited here in the
house very often. Sometimes, she can only visit us only once a year because she
and her family used to plant rice, fruits and vegetables on their province. She
used to bring some of the tilled products here in the house. Products were
organic and very fresh that is very nutritious and very good for the body.
But this year, she first visited us last
May and gave us glutinous rice and vegetables in which they tilled in their
province. When she visit us here last May, she used to left by the afternoon,
and she will go to her relatives in Marikina City to stay.
And now, she’s staying here with us. I don’t
know when she will leave. But according to my Mama, Lasing may stay here for a
while because she wanted to go on a doctor to have her neck checked-up because
she felt kind of different on the side of her throat.
Lasing still works very hard to clean the
house without any words from my Mama. She even wakes up very early to clean the
house. And she also assisted me whenever I am moving.
Whatever the reason she’s here, I wanted
her to stay here kind of longer because it is good in the feeling to be with
someone who has been with use with many years and now staying with us even for
several days.
